Things To Know Before Applying Online
Before starting your electronic I-20 application:
For an optimal experience, use either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. These are the recommended web browsers for completing your electronic I-20 application. Unexpected results may occur when using Internet Explorer which may cause conflicts with our application. Because iOS users may have difficulty uploading documents when using an iPad or iPhone, the application will prompt applicants to switch to a desktop or notebook computer.
In order to make the application process as smooth as possible, we recommend reading through our Application Steps to become familiar with the I-20 application requirements.
The new online I-20 application has six application types in order to meet all of the needs of our F-1 international students. A detailed explanation regarding how to select the appropriate option for you can be found on the Apply Online Now page, but if you are not sure which one to select please send an e-mail to RLCWorld@dcccd.edu and we will help you to select the appropriate option.
As a general recommendation, it is very important to make high quality, clearly-scanned copies of the documents. Please do not submit documents that are blurry or have a low resolution; otherwise, your application may be rejected or delayed. Please also remember that all documents attached to your application must be completely in English or be attached to an English translation.
Be aware that you will need an e-mail address to be able to use our online application. Each application will need a unique e-mail address, so you will not be able to use one email address for multiple applications.
Note: If you are submitting an application on behalf of your friend, relative, or client, and you wish to be informed about the status of the application, please include your e-mail address and contact information under the section: "Friend or Relative Who Has Permission to Discuss Your File".
Please read the instructions on the Application Steps page, select your application type, review the checklist of I-20 requirements and forms, scan your documents, fill out and submit your online application.
You will receive a confirmation email when your application has successfully been submitted. Afterward, we will review your application and will contact you with proper feedback. It is important that you select the correct application type and attach high quality scanned copies of your documents.
If you have questions that were not addressed on our website, please send an e-mail to RLCWorld@dcccd.edu. Thank you for your interest in Richland College, we look forward to meeting you on campus as part of our growing F-1 international student community!
